Statement on host compatibility

We approach host quirks, bugs, AUv3 noncompliances of various severity in a pragmatic and flexible way, sometimes even allowing them to influence the design of our plugins. This is in our best interest if we intend to provide the best value to all our customers.

Ultimately there are limits to this approach, and sometimes we have to take the position of not creating a workaround for a particular host issue of a given manufacturer. Such a decision is only made after no alternative had been found that did not bring a serious detriment to the user experience or the core design of the product - it can thus remain intact for all the other hosts, while steps can be taken to elicit a fix from the host's developer.

Troubleshooting

Click/pop artifact heard when looping a song section

The tempo sync feature involves synchronizing to the absolute timecode. If the loop length is not divisible by the time period selected by the MOTION control, there will be a discontinuity of the DIRECTION parameter's movement.

Fix
Switch to a frequency based modulation using the MOTION knob, or set a period length that is a divisor of the loop length (for example: set 1,2,4,8 bars for a 8-bar loop).

Click/pop artifact heard as the dry/wet setting is adjusted

When the direction is set to 180/-180 degrees, audio cancellation occurs at 50% dry/wet ratio.

Fix
If possible, avoid simultaneously landing on -180/180 degrees and 50% mix ratio.
